ABOUT
Nour is a Paralegal at Chess Law Solicitors, assisting the team with the preparation and progression of criminal cases.
She graduated from The University of Law with an LLB in Law in 2026 and is continuing her professional development with the intention of completing the Bar Practice Course.
Developing Experience in Serious Crime
Nour has already gained valuable exposure to serious and complex criminal cases, including matters involving firearms offences and conspiracies to supply controlled drugs.
Working alongside the wider defence team, she assists with case preparation, reviewing evidence and the day-to-day progression of cases. This early experience of serious criminal litigation has strengthened her interest in criminal defence and her ambition to develop a career in advocacy.
A Calm & Approachable Manner
Nour brings a warm, organised and client-focused approach to her work.
Her previous experience includes working as an NHS 111 Health Adviser, where she regularly spoke with people who were distressed, vulnerable or facing urgent situations. The role required careful listening, clear communication and the ability to remain calm and reassuring when dealing with people at difficult moments.
Those qualities translate naturally into criminal defence, where clients and their families are often dealing with unfamiliar circumstances and considerable uncertainty.
During her legal studies, Nour also volunteered within her university’s Legal Clinic, assisting with client interviews, initial case assessments, legal research and the preparation of written work under supervision.
Nour is fluent in English and Arabic, enabling her to communicate directly with a broader range of clients and families.
